Cable Management is a scrap wire and metal processing company that also specializes in the sale of custom-built recycling equipment. Josh Trudeau was apprenticing as an electrician in the early 2000s when he got the inspiration to start his own business. His inspiration led to Cable Management’s beginnings in a two-car garage. They moved into a commercial site in 2007 as business began to pick up, and then in 2013 moved into what became the 60,000 square foot facility they occupy to this day. As their name implies, Cable Management’s primary business is in the processing of scrap wire and metals. However, their business has expanded to producing, selling, and integrating their own line of machines utilized in the recycling process.
Dan Cotnoir began working at Cable Management to help design the systems they use in their own business. Eventually, the Cable Management team had gained a pretty good understanding of the processes and systems involved. They realized they could expand the scope of their business operations. They began designing systems for other recycling businesses around the United States and eventually even internationally. Today they even have sales reps and customers as far as South America and Europe.
Cable Management sells a wide variety of machines that are utilized in the recycling industry, and each machine is sold with the controls to go along with them. The majority of these control components are supplied by FactoryMation and range from simple contactors to PLCs. Some examples of their products that integrate these components include shredders, granulators, mills, blowers, rotary airlocks, conveyors, and more. These pieces of equipment are used in everything from wire chopping to the recycling of electronic components. Over the past thirteen years, they have expanded their product offerings and continue to find success in the recycling industry as both a recycling facility and a manufacturer of recycling equipment.
“From the beginning, when I was first learning [to design] controls, FactoryMation has always had a great presence on the internet,” Dan explains as he recalls how Cable Management started doing business with FactoryMation. “From way back I can remember calling because I would not be sure about sizing contactors, and technical support was always helpful. I call to this day.” Cable Management has their own system down now with less of a need for help with tasks as small as purchasing the proper contactor, but they still make use of FactoryMation’s product support in other ways. Whether it’s helping choose the right product, implementing the components properly, or getting a product shipped overnight to meet a deadline, FactoryMation is ready to help.
FactoryMation strives to support each customer in such a way that they can find success the way Cable Management has. Stories such as this continue to inspire FactoryMation to work hard at being the best choice for industrial control products. FactoryMation strives to deliver world-class products, outstanding service, and superior prices that equate to the best value in the industry. This unbeatable value allows customers to be even more successful in their respective industries.
